Why is oral care important?

Oral Health

Did you know oral disease is the most frequently diagnosed infectious disease in our pets?

Oral health in our pets is just as important as it is for us.  Routine dental and oral exams help us to detect the onset of gum disease, unhealthy teeth and bad breath.  These can cause pain for our pets.

By the time our pets reach the age of 1 year, they can begin showing signs of oral disease.  Without monitoring our pets’ oral health, we could compromise their liver, kidney, and even their heart!  This is why we will recommend regular dental prophylactic cleanings when we have determined it is necessary to help prevent any of these diseases.

What can you do to help at home?

Brushing is the number one way to help dental disease from starting.  Oral treats and diets can also help.  You can also try oral rinses and water additives!  We can help you get started with any of these products.

Together we can come up with a plan to keep our pets healthy and happy and knowing that we care!
