Parasite Prevention

Common Parasites

The best way to treat for parasites is by preventing them.  Our pets become exposed to gastrointestinal parasites such as:

  • Tapeworms
  • Hookworms
  • Roundworms
  • Whipworms
  • Giardia
  • Coccidia

They also become exposed to Topical parasites:

  • Ear Mites
  • Mange Mites
  • Fleas
  • Ticks

Other parasites that our pets become exposed to are:

  • Heartworms
  • Toxoplasma

Some of these parasites are also harmful to us.  This gives us more of a reason to be sure we prevent these parasites by keeping our pets on monthly preventatives, such as Heartgard and Frontline Tritak.
