Dr. Kristy Kreutzer

Dr. Kreutzer was born and raised in Colorado. As a young girl, she always loved animals and generally had a menagerie of animals at home. She grew up riding horses and was a dedicated member of the Westernaires precision drill horse riding organization throughout her childhood. Kristy was the first member of her extended family to go to college, and she was drawn to the medical field. Early in college, she owned a puppy that ended up having a developmental malformation and unfortunately had to be euthanized. It was this challenging event in her life that caused her to realize her calling was in veterinary medicine.
Kristy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2004 and was accepted into the veterinary program at Colorado State University in 2005. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from CSU in 2009, graduating with honors. Thereafter, Dr. Kreutzer has spent her entire veterinary career practicing small animal medicine in the front range of Colorado.
Dr. Kreutzer and her husband decided to start a small animal practice due to the fact that a large number of private practices in the industry are being converted to corporate entities. Practice ownership allows her to focus on providing customized care to meet the needs of each and every patient and their family.
Dr. Kreutzer’s professional interests include ophthalmology, internal medicine including ultrasound, and end of life care. Her personal hobbies include reading, and travel. Dr. Kreutzer lives in Arvada with her husband Cory and two children, Mason and Hazel. They have three crazy dogs, an old Boston Terrier named Oliver, a sweet Goldendoodle named Darla and a spunky Boston Terrier puppy named Kermit.
