    Dr. Mark Purser received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M in 1984, and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Dr. Purser’s career in veterinary medicine began in Spring, Texas, where he practiced for eight years before moving his family and practice to Katy in 1996. Dr. Purser’s cases primarily involve dog and cat medicine and surgery, but he also had extensive avian and exotic pet clientele.

    While Dr. Purser enjoys working with exotic pets, he is not accepting any new exotic patients. Due to the sensitivity of such pets, Dr. Purser feels it is best to leave their care to Doctors who specialize in Avian / Exotics.

    Dr. Purser has been very active in the Veterinary Community his entire carrier. He has served on the Board of Directors for several of the following organizations: Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, Harris County Veterinary Medical Foundation, and Texas Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Purser has served as President of the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, as well as the Harris County Veterinary Medical Foundation. Dr. Purser has also served as a delegate for Community Relations and was on the Harris County Pet Overpopulation Task Force for the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Purser has also been active at the state level, serving both as a member and Chair of the Public Relations Committee.
