Since COVID-19 we have augmented our in-person training programs to a format that is both safe and effective. Current classes include: “virtual training” via Zoom Video, “hands-on” where you turn your pooch over to us and we handle it all, and private classes that are in-person at your home or appropriate venue.

Daycare and Train

Our “Daycare and Train” program is great for dog owners who are too busy to put in the time themselves to do the training.  Here you can simply drop your pooch off for daycare and we take it from there.  Training days do not need to be consecutive but need to be at least twice per week.

Benefits of Daycare and Train include: your dog being able to socialize with other dogs between training sessions and it’s worry-free training where we do all the work.  AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy or Canine Good Citizen certifications can be included for additional cost.  NOTE:  Daycare and Train requires that your dog pass a Temperament Assessment prior to start. This program is not designed for aggressive behaviors.

          Daycare and Train Cost:  $88 per day with a five-day minimum - Fill Online

Board and Train

Board and Train is similar to Daycare and Train with the added benefit of having it done when you are not around.  This type of training takes place while you are on vacation, away on business, or just want to leave your dog with us for a minimum of five-days for training.  Board and Train requires that the dog be staying with us for a minimum of five days and five nights boarding during which we will do the training throughout the day.  This type of training will focus on obedience items such as Sit, Down, Stay, Come-when-called, and Walking on leash.

S.T.A.R. Puppy Certification

For puppies less than one-year old, the American Kennel Club’s Socialization Training Activity Responsibility (S.T.A.R.) Puppy Program is designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start.

AKC Star Puppy Certification

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program is a positive-reinforcement/incentive program for loving dog owners who have taken the time to take their puppies through a basic training class. This certification course includes two one-hour sessions virtually or in person (with masks and socially distanced) to certify client with dog.  This training is an “add-on” to Virtual, Daycare and Train or Board and Train listed above.


Canine Good Citizen Certification

This adult dog training class for dog's one-year and older is called Canine Good Citizen by the American Kennel Club.  The program is designed to address dog behavior issues such as; Jumping on people, not coming when called, pulling on leash, etc. At the end of this six week course, you and your dog will be given the CGC test.

AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification

Upon successful completion of the CGC test, you will receive a Beautiful Certificate from the American Kennel Club (AKC).  Some training items covered will be:  (1) Accepting a friendly stranger; (2) Sitting politely for petting; (3) Appearance and grooming; (4) Out for a walk (walking on loose lead); (5) Walking through a crowd; (6) Sit and Down on command and Staying in place; (7) Coming when called; (8) Reaction to other dog; (9) Reaction to distraction; (10) Supervised separation, and more. This certification course includes two one-hour sessions virtually or in person (with masks and socially distanced) to certify client with dog.  This training is an “add-on” to Virtual, Daycare and Train or Board and Train listed above.

Snake Avoidance Training

This is a live, in-person, group class.

Behavior Adjustment Training (B.A.T.)

Ask about our BAT classes which are available in one-on-one or "live" or "virtual" format.  Typically this is a six-session class to help your pooch overcome anxiety, fearfulness, or aggressive tendencies. 

Problem-Solving

The Problem Solving training works on areas that you consider "problems" but are not of a fear, aggressive, or anxiety tendency.  Usually problems include pulling while walking on leash.  Getting up on things or jumping up on people.  Barking when someone rings the doorbell, etc.  Generally these classes are staged in four-sessions one week apart.  Ask about our Problem Solving classes as these are one-on-one and can be done in a "live" or "virtual" format.
