Portland Small Animal Vet Provides Wellness Program, Dog Dental Care and Emergency Vet Services

.

Our veterinary team is led by Dr. DeRemer, who has been caring for Portland animals for over two decades. Dr. DeRemer opened Paws and Claws Medical Center in Troutdale in 1994 and purchased Peninsula Dog and Cat Clinic in 2008. Today, Dr. DeRemer splits his time between the two practices. A talented team of certified veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants helps Dr. DeRemer provide the highest quality veterinary care possible to Portland pets.

At Peninsula Dog and Cat Clinic, we are committed to offering the personal attention and compassionate care of a small vet clinic with all the latest technology and services of a major veterinary hospital. Our services include a pet wellness program, routine pet vaccinations and spay and neuter operations. We encourage all pet owners to bring their pets in for annual check-ups. Prevention truly is the best medicine. The earlier we can diagnose a condition before it becomes a problem, the better we can achieve our goal of helping your pet live a long, healthy and active life.

We also recommend annual oral health exams for your pet. Routine cat and dog dental care is essential to keeping your pet in good health. Just like in humans, plaque and tartar can build up over time, eventually leading to infections and gum disease. If this infection spreads to the blood stream, your pet may develop serious health problems with the lungs, liver, kidneys and heart. A routine dental cleaning will prevent the buildup of bacteria and stop and infection before it occurs.

In addition to pet wellness, our veterinary hospital also offers emergency vet services six days a week during regular clinic hours. No appointment is ever required. Our experienced team uses the latest technology, including digital radiology, to perform precise diagnostic testing. Our veterinarian is experienced with cat and dog surgery, as well as emergency vet care for small mammals and birds. If your pet is experiencing an emergency, visit us right away! Even if you are unsure, it is better to seek treatment and professional advice from a veterinarian than to wait until it is too late. If possible, please give us a call while you are on your way so we can have our veterinary team ready to assist your pet upon arrival.

Here at Peninsula Dog and Cat clinic, we pride ourselves on offering all the services of a big veterinary hospital and emergency vet clinic while providing a family-friendly, personal touch. We are a small animal vet clinic, where we know all our pets and pet owners by name. Our Portland veterinarian Dr. DeRemer, and our compassionate care team, is committed to putting pets and pet owners first. We treat your pets just like they were members of our own family. Whether your pet needs a routine wellness screening or requires a major operation, such as dog surgery, we will be here for you and your pet every step of the way. Visit us today and experience the difference that personal care makes!
