Amy
Amy is originally from Sacramento, California. She attended UC Davis thinking she wanted to become a veterinarian but soon realized her true passion was in the nursing care of the
animals. After completing the veterinary technician program at Consumnes River College, Amy became licensed in 1998. She has enjoyed a wide variety of avenues opened up by her career
choice. Her strongest interests lie in dentistry and emergency medicine. She received her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Dentistry in 2017. In 2009, Amy moved to the wonderful
Roaring Fork Valley with her fantastic German Shorthaired Pointer, Montana. She is enjoying experiencing the beauty Colorado has to offer.
Baylee
Baylee is a Colorado native from rural Southeast Colorado where she grew up helping on her family’s farm and cattle ranch. Her love for animals began at a very young age and she
participated in 4-H for ten years showing and training dogs, horses and goats. While volunteering at a local veterinary clinic throughout high school and later taking a job as a veterinary
assistant she realized veterinary nursing was her calling. After graduating high school, she decided to turn her passion into a career by moving to the western slope to attend Colorado
Mountain College’s Veterinary Technician Program where she graduated with honors in 2017. She and her boyfriend love living in the mountains with their many pets which include an Australian
Shepherd, two ferrets, a horse, and a few aquarium creatures. In her free time she enjoys hiking, cuddling with her pets, attending concerts and volunteering with 4-H dog and cat clubs all
over the state.
Darren
Darren is a Colorado Native who grew up on a family ranch in Montrose and has always had a passion for working with animals. He participated in 4-H and FFA in his youth and was involved with caring for animals on the ranch. Darren found his passion for veterinary medicine in high school after getting a part time job at a local small animal clinic. After receiving on the job training, he knew that he wanted to learn more and continue on this career path. Shortly after graduating high school, Darren went on to attend the Colorado Mountain College Veterinary Technology program and graduated in 2017. He and his partner love living in the mountains and plan to have pets of their own in the future, hopefully a French Bulldog! In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and dabbling in the world of music and art!
Terry
Terry is married and the mother of 2 grown children. She graduated from the CMC veterinary technology program in 1998 and started working for Alpine part-time while going to
school. Her fur family consists of her pups, Penny, Mollee and Jack. Terry and Mollee have been training and competing in canine agility since 2012. Her puppy Penny is also
becoming quite the agility dog! She loves the special bond that exists with her girlie and would love to talk to you about agility and how it strengthens that bond, if you have an
interest in learning about this growing sport. Terry has enjoyed working at Alpine because of her tremendous respect for the doctors and staff and the superior level of care
provided. She appreciates the caring atmosphere for the patients, their owners and the supportive culture within the hospital. Terry is passionate about caring for animals
and their people. When she is not at the practice she enjoys all things outdoors that can be enjoyed in this beautiful valley.
Veterinary Assistants
Beth
Beth moved to the Roaring Fork Valley from sunny Hawaii. Beth’s experience with animals began years ago on various cattle ranches around the country, primarily working
with large animals. Beth’s passion and love for all animals landed her here at Alpine where she has enhanced her skills in caring for animals. She is a Certified Behavior
Consultant and enjoys working with people who want to help their animals work through emotional/behavioral issues. When Beth is not at the clinic she spends her time training
for triathlons, in hopes of qualifying for the Ironman World Championships. Three of her favorite training partners are her dogs Dewey and Lola. Screech the cat doesn’t do well
with the long workouts so he gets to stay home.
Jessi
Jessi grew up in Iowa City, Iowa and attended the University of Iowa before joining the Army in 2009. After leaving the Army, she worked in Software System Administration. In 2013 her Vizsla puppy, Veda, fell deathly ill with pneumonia. After a trip to the emergency veterinary clinic near her home, she realized her calling as a veterinary technician. She soon got a job at the clinic that saved Veda’s life and fell in love with caring with animals. She moved to Colorado in 2018 to pursue her Veterinary Technology degree at Colorado Mountain College. She will be graduating from CMC in May 2020. Her love of animals and passion for high-quality care has brought her to Alpine, where she continues to grow and improve her knowledge and skills. Outside of work, Jessi enjoys skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, camping and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
Dana
Dana moved to the valley from Minnesota in 1974. He has extensive ranch and animal experience. Dana graduated from Colorado Mountain College’s CVT program in May 2004. He started as a
part-time employee in 2002 and now works as the property manager. He has 1 cat Negrita.
Technician Team Leader
Emily
Emily grew up with a variety of pets in Alaska and began her career in the field of veterinary medicine in her hometown vet clinic at 14 years old. After completing a year at the University of Alaska Anchorage, she decided veterinary nursing was right for her! Emily moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in February of 2009 to pursue animal nursing, became certified in 2011 and has been part of the small and large animal team at Alpine Animal Hospital since then. In 2018 she obtained her Bachelors in Leadership and Management from Colorado Mountain College. She enjoys working closely with Dr. Marron in caring for specialty Equine dental cases. Emily is passionate about providing high quality, Fear Free medical care and enhancing the bond between people and their pets. She tremendously enjoys her two cats at home and has worked hard to help provide a cat friendly environment at Alpine Animal Hospital. When not at the hospital, Emily is privileged to be an adjunct professor at Colorado Mountain College teaching for the Veterinary Technology program. She greatly enjoys what the Roaring Fork Valley has to offer and frequently snowboards, cross-country skis, rafts and hikes. Emily loves living in Glenwood Springs with her husband and 2 kitties, Geppetto and Haza

Danielle
Danielle is a Colorado native. She spent 5 years in Scottsdale Arizona attending Scottsdale Community College and working in veterinary medicine. In 2001 she knew it was time to
bring her family back home to the mountains. After moving back to Colorado she wanted to continue working in the veterinarian field and began working at Alpine Animal
Hospital. Her love for helping animals and people has helped her find her passion in management for the hospital. The people that she works with inspire her to continue to
flourish and learn everyday. Her loves include her family, fiancé Mid, son John and babies; 2 English mastiffs-Madii and Lucy a Chweenie-Deuce and a Oscar (who of course is not
furry). She enjoys traveling, riding horses, camping, hiking, and being with her friends.
Practice Manager
Cheryl
She moved to the valley May of 2008 after spending time in Northern Colorado, Oregon and growing up in California. Cheryl has a BS in Wildlife Biology with a Minor in Zoology from
Colorado State University. Cheryl began her career as a veterinary technician in California in 1994. Since then she has worked with large and small animals as well as at animal
emergency clinics and with state and federal wildlife agencies. Cheryl has also spent years working with captive wildlife sanctuaries in Colorado. She spends her free time
exploring, biking, hiking, snowboarding and boating in the roaring fork river valley with her husband, son and 1 cat and 3 dogs.
