SylvaniaVET is looking to add more Registered Veterinary Technicians to our day-time team to support our growing staff of Veterinarians! We are seeking RVTs with experience but will train a new graduate with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Our technicians are highly utilized to allow our doctors the time to focus on practicing high quality medicine and performing surgeries while allowing the technicians to use all the skills we learned in school including venipuncture, catheter placement, Doppler blood pressure, CRI and drug calculations, patient care including critical care and emergencies, surgeries including induction, prep, intra-op monitoring and patient recovery, technician appointments, chemotherapy, hydrotherapy and rehab, digital radiographs, ultrasound guided cystocentesis, blood transfusions and component therapy, dentals including full mouth radiography on all patients and running a fully equipped advanced laboratory. This is just a list of a few of the things are technicians do on a regular basis!

We would love for you to know a little about us and some other reason why we think you would want to join our team. We have been an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Accredited Hospital since 1978. We are also an AAFP Feline Friendly Practice and many of our staff members are certified as Fear Free and we are working toward entire practice certification in 2018. We are not your average neighborhood practice, but a 24/7 pet care destination. Our goal is to provide all the services a pet owner might need for their pet. Our building was designed with the comfort and safety of our patients in mind. In addition to all standard veterinary services SylvaniaVET offers boarding, grooming, doggy day care, obedience classes, physical rehabilitation and hydrotherapy, a well stocked retail space and many more services too numerous to mention. We are constantly looking at new treatment methods, new equipment and new services we might offer.

Our 24/7 commitment is unique to this region. No other general practice has staffing around the clock seven days a week which enables us to answer the phones whenever a client calls. One of our highly trained technicians and an assistant is always in the building providing care to our patients and boarding guests. One of our doctors is always on call and will come in when necessary to provide emergency after hours care. Another special and unique feature of SylvaniaVET care is our policy of 24/7 visitation of hospitalized pets.

If you are ready to join our team of highly motivated pet loving people, please send us your resume today. We look forward to meeting you!
