Micro-Chip Pet Identification

Microchipping is a very economical and reliable way to provide your pet with a permanent I.D. tag. The scan able chip, which is about the size of a grain of rice, is implanted beneath the surface of your animal’s skin between the shoulder blades. SylvaniaVET uses a microchip made by HomeAgain Pet Recovery. Each chip has a unique code that is registered with the 24/7/365 HomeAgain registry. If a lost or stray animal is taken to the Lucas County Dog Warden, Humane Society, or local vet, they are able to scan the animal for a microchip ID number. This number is used to identify the pet and retrieve the owners contact information, which is used to reunite you with your pet.
