SylvaniaVET is capable of treating different forms of cancer, depending on your pet’s diagnosis. We will always discuss a variety of treatments available, as well as their costs. Not all cancers respond to chemotherapy, but many will respond with appropriate treatment. We consult with a variety of specialists in oncology and radiation oncology. We will also offer referrals to a specialist if we feel it is in your pet’s best interest. Unlike humans, pets receiving most of the prescribed chemotherapy do not become ill or lose all their hair. Chemotherapy is usually well tolerated by pets, so do not be discouraged from considering chemotherapy for your animal should the need arise.
