Dr. Emily Spengler grew up in eastern North Carolina where she dabbled in hunter/jumpers and dressage until attending college at the University of Georgia where she obtained a degree in Biological Sciences. Emily then moved to Lexington, Kentucky where she completed the Kentucky Equine Management Internship KEMI). In Kentucky, she learned the ropes of Thoroughbred sales and breeding and went on to work at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute as a field services assistant during both the breeding and thoroughbred sales seasons. Emily then returned to the University of Georgia as a double dawg, where she received her DVM with an emphasis in Equine/Food and Fiber. Dr. Spengler’s interests lie in reproductive work and general practice. In her free time, she loves to do anything outdoors – hiking, kayaking, camping, etc., making her a perfect fit for Rhinebeck Equine and the Hudson Valley!
