Meet Our Team

Melissa

MelissaMelissa is a Colorado native and grew up in the Granby/Grand Lake area. After high school she spent a year at Mesa State College for Graphic Art and then decided, when the opportunity arose, to take some time off from school and live in England. Upon returning she spent a year and a half at UCD in Denver studying Music Business. In those 5 years she discovered an insatiable love for tea and crumpets and perhaps more importantly, the fact that she is neither and artist or a musician (live and learn!) Her roots and love for all creatures great and small finally planted her in Fort Collins at FRCC to pursue becoming a 3rd generation Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the Vet Tech program in 2008 and has been working at Laporte Animal Clinic since 2009. Apart from that Melissa enjoys living in Fort Collins with her 2 kids Aleighanna and Brandon, traveling, and going to concerts.
