More About Our Veterinarians and Practice

We're proud to have three experienced and compassionate veterinarians at our Highland Knolls Veterinarian Hospital practice. Dr. Mark Purser is our lead veterinarian and hospital system chief of staff for Katy Area Veterinary Medical Group. He has been practicing veterinary medicine since he completed his doctorate degree at Texas A&M in 1988. His interests include dog and cat medicine as well as surgery, though he has experience with avian and exotic pet care as well.

Dr. Andrew Masse is our lead veterinarian at Spring Green Pet Clinic; he also completed his doctorate degree at Texas A&M, having begun practicing veterinary medicine in 2016. His specific areas of expertise at our office include medicine, nutrition, and cardiology.

Dr. Alex Deal is our lead veterinarian at Grand Morton Animal Clinic. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and has been with our practice since the third quarter of 2017. His professional interests here include internal medicine, preventative medicine, and dermatology.

Our clients enjoy the fact that our veterinarians are always happy to sit down and listen to their concerns and answer questions about their pet's health. Clients also appreciate that our office is open six days a week for veterinary care as well as on Sundays for boarding pick-up and drop-off.

Summary of Our Services

Founded in 1999, Highland Knolls Veterinary Hospital offers a wide range of services to suit your pet's unique needs. One of the most common services we provide is that of the comprehensive veterinary exam, which we recommend for most pets at least once per year. This exam allows us to stay on top of any and all changes in your pet's health, which could help us spot early signs of disease and other medical issues. At your pet's annual wellness exam, we can also make sure your pet is up-to-date on all vaccinations.

In addition to routine preventative care, we also perform a number of surgical procedures and treatments for illness/injury here in our office. Spay and neuter procedures are among the most common that we perform, through our experienced team can handle a number of other surgical procedures as well.

We also offer boarding for cats and dogs, as well as microchip services in our office.
