These are recorded maximum ages of some commonly kept bird species.
- Several of the above species have been known, anecdotally, to live longer than the above recorded ages.
- Some species, such as color mutation budgerigars and cockatiels, may not live to the recorded ages as inbreeding has lead to poor natural immunity and inherited disorders.
- Many household birds can live to the above ages with simple preventative care and annual health checks by an avian veterinarian.
