    Hillary G. Frank
    DVM, Diplomate ABVP (avian)

    Dr. Hillary Frank graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and opened North Central Animal Hospital in Phoenix, AZ in 1995. She is active in the community and a member of numerous veterinary and civic organizations. Dr. Frank provides volunteer medical services and advanced orthopedic repairs for native and migratory birds (including raptors) to allow for successful reintroduction into the wild. As a general practitioner, she treats a variety of companion animals, including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, reptiles, and other exotics. In 2004, Dr. Frank became board certified in avian practice with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and was the first Avian Specialist in Arizona. She again demonstrated current competency and specialist qualifications by recertifying in 2014, as ABVP requires every ten years. In addition to canine and feline practice, other clinical interests include avian endoscopy and orthopedic surgery, radiology, and preventive medicine. Dr. Frank is also an adjunct professor for the Midwestern University, College of Veterinary Medicine.

    K. Ivy Thomas
    DVM

    Dr. Ivy Thomas graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She is originally from Mississippi and moved to Southern California after graduation for undergraduate studies at San Diego State University. Prior to veterinary school she was a registered veterinary technician at a small animal referral and exotics practice for almost 6 years. She has done clinical externships at Louisville Zoo, Henry Doorly Zoo in Nebraska, Wildlife Safari in Oregon, and Phoenix Zoo. Immediately after veterinary school she did a small animal/wildlife medicine and surgery internship at Sonora Veterinary Specialists in Phoenix, AZ and stayed on for a short time as one of their emergency clinicians. She then did an exotic medicine and surgery internship at Avian & Exotic Animal Clinic of Arizona. She has since worked as a small animal and exotics clinician around the valley in Phoenix, Arizona. She has volunteered her time providing medical services throughout the years to Southwest Wildlife, Phoenix Herpetological Society, several shelters, as well as RAVS trips through the humane society. Since 2010 she has been one of the consulting veterinarians for the Belize Zoo taking veterinary students from Ross University, as well as Midwestern Veterinary school. She practiced in California for a few years working with small animals and exotics. But now she’s excited to be back in Arizona. In addition to her passion for veterinary medicine, her interests include conservation and teaching. Her hobbies include working out with her husband, traveling, and spending time with her 3 dogs & tortoise.
