Bathing

dog getting a bath from his groomer at All Pets Animal Hospital in Encinitas

All Pets Animal Hospital is now proud to offer Bathing services for our patients.  All baths are performed by our well-trained, caring staff using kind, safe, trustworthy methods and products.

Dog Baths

Dog baths are performed using the Oster Power Bathing system.  This system delivers a mixture of shampoo and pressurized water during bathing, which penetrates any coat leaving your pet clean and their skin refreshed.  This system leaves your pet's skin and coat cleaner and healthier than traditional bathing.

Each bath is followed with a power blow dry using the Hydrosurge power drying system.  This dryer blasts away dead hair while quickly removing excess water from their coat. The drying is finished using a traditional grooming dryer in one of our comfortable cages.

Finally, your pet will be lovingly brushed by our staff to remove even more excess hair to leave your pet happy and beautiful!

Each Dog Bath Includes:

  • Bathing with the Oster Power Bather (using Hydrosurge Shampoo Concentrate or Owner-Provided Shampoo)
  • Anal Gland Expression
  • Nail Trim (only for dogs who allow this - if dog is particularly stressed or aggressive, a nail trim will not be performed)
  • Routine Ear Cleaning (not to treat infected ears)
  • Blow Dry
  • Brush Out
  • Lots of TLC!

Cats, Tiny Dogs, and Small Mammals

Smaller animal often cannot handle the sound and pressure of the power bather/dryer.  For these pets, we use traditional hand-bathing methods using a safe, hypo-allergenic shampoo.

Our smaller grooming patients are towel dried and them further dried using a gentle hanging grooming dryer.

Each Cat/Small Mammal Bath Includes:

  • Hand Bathing (using Hypoallergenic Shampoo or Owner Provided Shampoo)
  • Nail Trim (if necessary, and if pet allows)
  • Blow Dry
  • Brush Out
  • Lots of TLC!
