Theresa Murillo, DVM

Dr. Theresa Murillo is a native San Diegan. She grew up in Imperial Beach with her large family. She first realized she wanted to be a veterinarian when she started to take care of the stray cats that lived in her community. Coming from a low-income community, she realized she wanted to help all animals- those who had homes and those who didn’t. She attended Cal Poly Pomona to obtain her Bachelors Degree in Animal Science and further went on to receive her veterinary degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She graduated veterinary school in 2017.

Dr. Murillo has just completed a 1 year internship with the San Diego Humane Society, where she has been trained through their rigorous program in shelter medicine and high quality, high volume spay and neuter. Through her various trainings, she has obtained skills in all types of animals- cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and more. She is excited to continue training with the veterinarians at All Pets Animal Hospital to also obtain her certification with the American Boarded Veterinary Practitioners for Exotic Companion Mammal species.

Dr. Murillo currently lives in South Bay, San Diego with her husband, Stephan and her daughter, Clementine. They have 2 cats, Tod and Checkers and a Chihuahua, Maggie. When she is not working, Dr. Murillo enjoys spending time with her family at the beach and being outdoors- hiking or running. She also loves practicing ballet and watching Star Wars with her husband and daughter.
