These specialized surgeries are performed by our mobile surgeon, Justin Greco, DVM, DACVS, a Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon. He provides surgical services by appointment at our hospital, working closely with our doctors and staff to provide you with specialized surgical options in the comfort and convenience of our hospital.
Orthopedic Surgeries Offered:
TPLO: Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy
The TPLO is currently the commonly recommended technique to stabilize a canine stifle suffering from a torn Cranial Cruciate Ligament. In this novel procedure, the weight-bearing
surface and geometry of the stifle are changed to reduce or eliminate the need for a Cranial Cruciate Ligament. Research has shown that this surgical technique can drastically slow or
even halt the progression of arthritis in a CCL deficient stifle. The TPLO is one of the most common orthopedic procedures performed by Board Certified Veterinary Surgeons, and we are proud
to be able to offer this service at our hospital.
