BOWEN'S STORY

Bowen is a 12 year old Border Collie who, like most Border Collie's live to be active.  He had recently started to show his age a little more by getting up slower and slightly stiff whenever he would lay somewhere for even a short period of time.  Along with that, he would occasionally have a day when it was obvious that he was in a state of increased pain.   The most recent of those days resulted in a trip to Dr. Anders as it seemed to be even worse than anytime before.  It was determined that Bowen had several vertebrae that were beginning to fuse.   At this point, our only option was to have the gold bead surgery done on Bowen from his neck to his hips.   Upon picking up Bowen the day after the surgery, it was immedi
