In January, we decided to seek treatment for our lab/shepherd mix Oliver Blue due to anxiety and periodic aggression issues. We had another pet that had similar issues, during which we followed our previous vet's recommendations to treat the anxiety with prescription medicine, which only masked the underlying problem. This previous situation with our former pet did not end well.
For Oliver Blue, we decided to seek alternative treatments, which we hoped would achieve better results. We received suggestions for possible alternative methods of treatment, so we researched on-line and found Dr. Ronald Anders practice, who performs acupuncture, in combination with herbal remedies and Reiki treatments.
February 2nd was our first appointment with Dr. Anders, during which Dr. Anders performed a full evaluation on Oliver Blue. Dr. Anders then initiated acupuncture and performed extensive muscle testing to determine course of treatment, and establish next steps. Based on this testing and subsequent results, Dr. Anders recommended and we agreed to change Blue's food and also administer a specific variety of herbal remedies.
We are continuing the prescribed diet and herbal remedies, while returning to Dr. Anders office for ongoing evaluations, acupuncture treatments and follow up. Blue continues to exhibit improvement, evidenced by reduced stress, less anxiety and does not appear to be scared all the time, as previously observed and experienced.
We are very happy with the initial progress that Dr. Anders has achieved with Oliver Blue, understanding that it takes time and significant effort to provide physical and mental relief, while enhancing spiritual wellness for our Blueman.
