NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Meet Lilo

Lilo is a Yorkie mix, and when Lilo came to the County Animal Clinic on June 10, 2013, she weighed in at 16 pounds.   She was seen by Doctor Anders for a hip problem, a heart problem, and a breathing problem.   Immediately she was put on a metabolic dog food, medications, and herbs for the following conditions; heart issues, breathing issues, arthritis, and kidney and liver issues.  Lilo was unhealthy.  Her first check up was June 27, and Lilo weighed in at 15.1 pounds.   She is still at a very risky, unhealthy weight, still on her medications, and  herbs at this point.

Subsequent clinic visit dates were as follows:

7-18-2013            14.0 pounds

8-19-2013            13.6 pounds

9-9-2013              12.9 pounds

10-25-2013          11.2 pounds

11-8-2013            11.3 pounds

3-4-2014                9.8 pounds

6-5-2014                8.0 pounds

6-24-2014              8.3 pounds

And this is Lilo today.  With a new "leash" on life!  Happy and healthy.

Testimonial

  • "We are so thankful we found Dr. Anders! He spends a lot of time with Bo who suffers from liver disease. We are trying acupuncture, manipulation of the spine, and Eastern holistic herbs. Bo loves his new food and we see a new vitality in his behavior. We knew we had nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying a holistic approach. The staff is so friendly and caring, too. Time will tell concerning Bo's prognosis, but he seems so happy chasing squirrels again. Thanks Dr. Anders and staff! (Oh, and the bandanas are adorable!)"
