Kahla R.
Kahla grew up in Racine. She worked at the Pony Club in high school where she was able to start her journey working with animals and finding a love she didn't know she had---horses!
She also had some experience working at a small shelter and then kennels at a local veterinary clinic. While here she decided to take it one step further and earned her associates degree as a Veterinary Assistant.
October 2013 Kahla was able to do her externship with Forest Home Animal Clinic and was hired on. She stayed and grew for 5 years into a technician and then decided to expand her skills and knowledge further by working at a local Veterinary E.R. for 1.5 years. Kahla found her way back to us in June 2020 and is now working on getting her certification for 2021.
Her professional interests include surgery, preventative care and client education. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband (Paul) son (Jaxon) and dog (Emma). She also enjoys going for walks, camping, and boating activities.

Nicole P.
Nicole joined our team as a veterinary assistant in July of 2020. She knew at a young age that she had a passion for animals. Every summer, she would visit her great uncle's horses and have a blast helping take care of them, and of course, go horseback riding. After high school, Nicole earned her degree as a veterinary assistant. She then worked at a local veterinary clinic for a year and gained lots of hands-on experience. She is now working towards becoming a certified veterinary technician. Her professional interests include client education, patient care, and helping technicians with surgery. She likes to spend her free time with family, friends, and her two cats (Cosmo and Glenn), and adventuring in the great outdoors.
