Boarding

Hours:
Monday-Friday 8 AM to 6 PM
Saturday 8 AM to 12 noon
Sunday pick up is available—it must be prearranged and prepaid at the time you drop off your pet(s). Please call for details.

Dayboarding is available for both dogs and cats. It is a weekday service, available during normal operating hours. Fees for extra services are the same, as shown below.

Boarders do not interact with other boarders or campers. They are kept separate for breaks, playtimes, and any other services provided to the boarder while staying at the clinic.

For a reservation, please call us or fill out our boarding form, and we will contact you for confirmation and details as soon as possible.

When dropping off your cat/dog for boarding, please arrive early and expect at least fifteen minutes for check-in with a member of boarding staff.

Dogs & Puppies:

There are three kennel options available for your dog: the Cabin, the Lodge, and the Bed and Breakfast (B & B). Cabins and Lodges may accommodate multiple family dogs.

  • All accommodations are disinfected and cleaned daily.
  • The kennels have a ventilation system that is separate from the rest of the building.
  • Boarders are taken outside for breaks at least three times a day during weekdays and at least twice a day on weekend days.
  • If you would like to maintain your dog's regular diet, please bring along their food in individually bagged meals or container. (Our kennel food is Purina E/N, which is a sensitive stomach diet.) Be sure to bring enough food for the duration of their stay. This will be less stressful for them than changing their diet. We will provide food if needed.
  • You can request that dogs from the same family be put together for playtimes and breaks.

Requirements: annual distemper complex; annual Bordetella vaccine; annual Canine Influenza Vaccine*; Rabies vaccine (for all dogs over 4 months of age); annual fecal with negative results (no ova or parasites seen); if 6 months or older; must be spayed/neutered; all dogs must be on flea/tick/lice and heartworm/roundworm/hookworm preventative and must be parasite free. If your pet is found to have fleas/ticks/worms, they will be treated at your expense.

* Canine influenza, or dog flu, is a highly contagious viral infection affecting dogs as well as cats. There are two known strains, H3N8 and H3N2, neither of which is known to be passed from pet to person. While it is not required by the state like the rabies vaccine, due to the highly contagious nature of CI and how closely our patients and clients interact, our clinic requires the vaccine for any services provided, including grooming, day camp, and boarding.

Cats & Kittens:

Connecting doors make it easy for cats from the same household to be together or separate in our Cat Condos. The walls are sturdy and offer privacy and the comfort of an enclosed space.

  • All accommodations are disinfected and cleaned daily.
  • The cat room is separate from our dog boarding kennels.
  • The room includes toys, enclosures and a large cat tree.
  • If you would like to maintain your cat's regular diet, please bring their food in individual bagged meals or container. (Our kennel food is Hill's I/D, which is a sensitive stomach diet.) Be sure to bring enough for the duration of their stay. This will be less stressful than changing their diet. We will provide food if needed.
  • We provide scoopable litter but also have clay litter

Requirements: distemper complex and Rabies vaccines; annual negative fecal test; and all cats must also be parasite free (if fleas/ticks/worms are found, we will treat at your expense).
