As your veterinarian in Toronto, ON we offer comprehensive vet services for your pets ranging from preventative care to pet licensing and pet boarding. Here at Jane Animal Hospital, we have an outstanding team of vet doctors, veterinary technicians, registered vet techs, and client relation specialists. Veterinarian and Associate Vet Doctors 

Our team is led by Director of the World Animal Protection (WAP), Dr. Oliver Sterbinsky who has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1993. His philosophy is that “There is nothing more satisfying than knowing your team consistently works together to improve the quality of life of all pets and their families.” In addition to our veterinary medical director, we also have a team of associate veterinarians who provide assistive care at Jane Animal Hospital. 

Through the care of this vet team, we are able to provide an array of services. This includes pet dentistry, spay/neuter, pet surgery, preventative care, microchipping, and emergency care. We also offer routine pet exams, as well as pet vaccinations to protect your pet's well-being.

Veterinary Technician Services

A veterinary technician provides assistance with diagnostics including imaging and lab work. These are the nurses of the veterinary world, and the individuals who will give your pet the utmost attention when they come in for a checkup or treatments. If you have questions about diet, exercise, medication, or treatments when you bring your pet to the Jane Animal Hospital, most likely you will receive aid by one of these helpful people. 

Client Relations Team

Pets are the center of attention here at our veterinarian in Toronto, but we also want to create a healthy relationship with our pet owners. Our client relations team coordinates appointments, handles bill paying, and provides the personal touch that you come to expect at the Jane Animal Hospital. Our team of specialists provides our clients with a comfortable yet professional vet experience, for each and every vet visit.

  • Dr. Oliver Sterbinsky, DVM
    Medical Director

    Dr. Oliver Sterbinsky graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 1993. He loves the day-to-day interactions with his employees, clients, and patients. He is also a director on the board of WAP (World Animal Protection Canada).

    Dr. Sterbinsky enjoys triathlons and spending time with his family.  He participates regularly in a variety of charity events such as Spin for breast cancer awareness and research, Tour for Kids, and MS Climbs. Dr. Sterbinsky is also the proud owner of a beautiful and energetic Aussiedoodle named Maya.

  • Dr. Darragh Newman, DVM
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Darragh Newman graduated from University College Dublin in Ireland and worked for 2 years in a Small Animal Practice in the United Kingdom. His family rescued his dog, Willow, as a puppy from a bad situation. They thought she was going to be a Cockapoo, but she kept growing and growing and is now double the size of a standard Cockapoo. She is actually a friendly, energetic Labradoodle! He also rescued a dog this year named Lenny! In his spare time, Dr. Newman likes to go out and meet with friends, travel, exercise, and spend time outdoors

  • Dr. Kai Moore, DVM
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Kai Moore graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2020 after attending the University of Guelph for her undergraduate degree. Her attention to detail and compassion for her patients provides owners with a sense of security when their pets are in her care. 

    At home, she has an adorable cat named Xander, whom she describes as “The most handsome orange cat there ever was.” In her free time, she likes cycling, traveling to new places, and trying out different cuisines with her friends.

  • Dr. Meaghan Roque, DVM
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Meaghan Roque graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2019. She brings a genuine patience and warmth to every appointment and exam she performs. She began volunteering at veterinary clinics when she was thirteen years old and has never looked back. Meaghan has a quirky black cat named Trudy who she helped nurse back to life after she was found as a stray kitten. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, volunteering her skills at animal shelters, and exploring the city.

    Practice Manager

    Lisa loves to work with her incredible team everyday and enjoys interacting with clients and their pets. Lisa has an infectious positive energy and is always willing to go the extra mile for her staff and the patients of Jane Animal Hospital. These are just some of the many reasons that she is so beloved by her team! At home she has a rescue cat named Vee. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, entertaining and spending time with her family.

    Team Lead Veterinary Technician

    Andreia graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College. She is very passionate about working in the veterinary field and loves to see animals' lives enriched. She usually keeps her hands full caring for 3 cats with disabilities. Her favorite part of working in this industry is assisting doctors in surgery. When Andreia is not working, she loves discovering new shows on Netflix and taking time off to travel to Portugal.

    Registered Veterinary Technician

    Danielle graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Sheridan College. She has an 8-year-old cat named Bruce Wayne that is, as she describes, “the biggest demander of attention and snuggles.” She also has a 1-year-old dog named Barbara who is a mixed breed. Danielle describes her as a “menace” but she still loves her to pieces. In her free time, she enjoys geocaching, watching movies, and playing any kind of game! 

    'My favourite thing about working with animals is having the opportunity to help animals when I can… but I can’t lie… dealing with the pups is certainly the cherry on top!”
  • Kaitlyn
    Registered Veterinary Technician

    Kaitlyn graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Sheridan College. She has a beautiful 3-year-old named Safe, who is a Himalayan and Bengal mix, that loves to suck on a sheet before she goes to sleep and she also spends a lot of time in the hallway. She also has an adorable 2-year-old cat named Mulan, who is very fond of eating and being outside. In Kaitlyn’s free time, she likes to watch TV, drink bubble tea, and spend time with her partner, friends, and family.

    Registered Veterinary Technician

    Maggie studied at the University of Ottawa for her undergraduate degree, Algonquin College for her post-grad, and finally, she graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2018. In addition to caring for the pets at Jane Animal Hospital, Maggie has 2 cats of her own at home. She has a 7-year-old named Nina who she describes as, “Spicy and allergic to life,” and a 5-year-old named Kevin, that is a Tripod and has separation anxiety.  In her free time, she likes to crochet and spend time with her cats.

    Veterinary Technician

    Mallory graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at St Clair College in 2012.  She has been working in the veterinary medicine industry for the last 9 years. Mallory owns 3 fantastic felines named Dagger, Storm and Spectre. Dagger is a striking 4-year-old black and white cat. Spectre is a 6-year-old beautiful black cat. Finally, Storm is 9 years old and is a total Princess! She is a super fluffy grey tabby that loves jumping into the running water in the shower, but she gets soaked every time. In her free time, she loves spending time with her friends and family, which includes going to the movies, playing board games and hiking. She also enjoys yoga, bike riding and eating sushi

    Nuha graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College and has experience working in the veterinary medicine industry for over 5 years. She has a 2-year-old cat named Harper who has special needs. In her free time, she enjoys reading a good book, going to the gym, and spending time outdoors.

    Team Lead Senior Client Relations Specialist

    Jubilee has 2 cats, Suli, a tuxedo cat, and Ben. Suli was originally from a foster home. She is incredibly playful and cuddly. When she’s awake, all she does is stand over her toy and ‘meow’ until you play with her. She loves to run in circles! When she’s asleep, she likes to be covered up and hugged. Jubilee loves to draw. Recently, she started to work on digital art. She also loves puzzles, board games, and baking. Her favorite things to bake are chocolate macaroons.

    'When it comes to pets, we are all the same. We all want to protect our animal companions and to make them feel safe. This means that we also all feel pretty helpless when our little friends are hurting. I love working in an environment where we can provide support and care for those who rely on us the most. Everyone who comes to Jane Animal Hospital is here because they have someone precious to look after and so being able to provide relief for those people is amazing.'

    Client Relations Specialist

    Anastasia has more than 5 years of experience in the customer service industry. Anastasia has 4 cats: Cereal only has four teeth, but she’s still very good at biting; Havarti loves to be picked up and held in the kitchen any time she is cooking dinner; Lucifer, and her newest addition Nanette Manoir, whom she calls “Ninnie.” Anastasia likes reading science fiction and poetry, writing short stories, and listening to calming cat music with her cats.

    Dulce has a Bachelor of Interior Design and experience as an in-flight service attendant. Her cat loves giving high-fives and his favorite toy is an avocado. In her spare time, Dulce enjoys turning your average IKEA furniture into high end furniture pieces

    Client Relations Specialist

    Jessica has experience working in the animal care industry as she spent 5 years volunteering at the ISPCA in Dublin, Ireland. Jessica’s love for animals and enthusiastic attitude makes her a wonderful addition to the Jane Animal Hospital team! At home, she has 2 dogs named Slayer, a 14-year-old Chihuahua that she describes as “The kindest, most gentle thing on this planet.,” and Killer who is a 14-year-old Shih-tzu that she describes as, “The black sheep, who is very odd, but also just perfect.” In her free time, she loves to cook and stay active.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Joanna has over 7 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She taught her cats how to fetch bouncy balls and bring them back to her. During her spare time, she loves to cook, play video games, go on walks, and knit. She also loves to read and spends a lot of time watching Netflix.

    Juan went to Humber College for Police Foundations. He has a cat named Meanie that loves to play fetch, hide and seek and tag. Meanie also knows how to open drawers. Some of Juan's hobbies include playing video games, swimming, and training with the Canadian Military.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Nelson attends Chaminade College School as a grade twelve student enrolled as a Specialized High School Major in the environment sector and participate in the outdoors and eco-school club. He has some work experience in areas other than the veterinarian industry such as an Automotive and Vespa technician and as a landscaper.
    Some of his hobbies and past time are hunting, fishing, dirt bike riding and working on classic cars and motorcycles.
