Any degree of blunt force trauma can be life-threatening for a pet. If your pet is hit by a car, if something heavy falls on your pet, or if they're hit by anything, you should take them to see the vet immediately. If your pet is injured internally, it can take hours for the symptoms to become apparent. By then, it could be too late.
